Recently 60 popular vpn applications were removed from Chinese App Store. Is there any new way to use VPN for China today?
Several VPN service providers received notification from Apple that their apps were removed from the China App Store for including “content that is illegal” in the mainland.
Many people in mainland China are using VPN to bypass famous Chinese “Great Firewall” and access restricted sites.
VPN is also a great solution for Internet privacy because it hides browsing activities from internet service providers.
“VPN creates a private tunnel between you (the user) and the service you want to consume. Such a connection escapes government censorship, hiding a user’s true origin. It also encrypts communications so that users can be confident others aren’t reading their information when connected to public internet services.”

Popular vpn providers are very disappointed with this Apple decision.

How to Setup and Use VPN for China on iOS 10
To make a new vpn connection in your iOS device you need to do the next:
- Go to Settings > General > VPN
- Go to Settings > General > VPN
2. Click Add VPN Configuration. Select L2TP VPN and click Back
3. Input you VPN account data — server, account and password. You get these data from Sahrzad service in the e-mail after ordering vpn. Fill the Secret field — secret (small letters)
4. Tap Done to save the settings.
Once you have created vpn connection you can switch it on and off on the main settings screen.
