Without any doubts, Pinterest is great site loved by millions of users. However recently Pinterest was blocked in China by the Great Chinese Firewall.
Internet censorship in China is one of the most severe in the whole world.

Most social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Google services are already banned in China. Pinterest website was working for a long time without being blocked by the Chinese government.

The big social media sites like Twitter and Facebook are still blocked in mainland China, as well as Youtube and Gmail, and all Google services. The same thing is with hundreds of other sites, including news sites like the Wall Street Journal and Reuters. Even games like Pokémon Go have been blocked in the country, so Pinterest surviving this long is notable.

Fortunately, there is a great solution to access blocked sites in China and unblock Pinterest and this is VPN  – virtual private network.

VPN is easy in use and it is absolutely safe and reliable.
 

It’s not exactly clear why the site is being blocked, but it could well be related to timing. ‘Two Sessions,’ the annual gathering of China’s governing classes, is taking place right now in Beijing which puts the government on high-alert for potential problems. Pinterest, it seems, had caught the eye.

For now, users in China will have to rely on all the clones that flooded the still-unblocked online space in the country years ago.
